This sense of community extends to staff and clients alike, helping to break down barriers and leading to innovative ways to serve the community as a whole.
Founded in 1961 and ranked in the top 1% out of over 1,800 Head Start programs nationwide, Children First strengthens children and families by improving the quality of their lives through a comprehensive approach to development, education, health, and well-being. At multiple sites throughout Sarasota County, our agency offers full-day preschool, infant and toddler care, and nutrition and health care assistance to children ages birth to five years old from low-income families. With over 25 years of dedicated experience in the field of early childhood education, Sharon Haynes serves as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Children First. Sharon will be coming to the campus to share her experience with us and talk about resources available to you and your clients. Lunch and drinks will be provided.
