BAYS works in partnership with individuals, families, and communities to inspire change, growth, and success through its Juvenile Diversion Alternative Program (JDAP).  JDAP is a diversion program that provides services based on individual youth and family needs. Only youth referred by the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) and approved by the State Attorney’s Office (SAO) can be admitted to the JDAP program. The targeted age group to be served is 17 and under; male and female. JDAP concentrates on determining the needs of the youth admitted into the program, addressing those needs, then ultimately encouraging the youth to successfully complete the program while aiming to minimize their risk of becoming repeat offenders. JDAP strives to influence youth to remain crime free during their participation in the program and thereafter.

Real estate is one of the greatest costs in a business budget. Our partnership with the Glasser Schoenbaum Human Services Center allows more money to go towards our mission. And what better place to house our office than on a campus with nineteen other outreach agencies.

We are a small and young organization and having the ability to network and partner with other community organizations is key to the quality and impact of our work. In addition to the affordable space that The Glasser/Schoenbaum Human Services Center provides to all of us, it inspires us to use this collaborative model as we work to empower our students and their families.
